Jorge Arango Romero, better known as Jorge Arango, was born in Camaguey, Cuba on July 4th, 1953. Jorge is a dedicated sculptor as evidenced by his extensive formal training and his many years as a professor at both Academia San Alejandro and Instituto Superior de Arte in Havana.
From 1974 through 1994 Jorge received formal training in sculpture at these notable institutions:

Jorge Arango is known around the globe. His works have been featured in solo and group exhibitions in Barbados, Cuba, Guyana, Italy, Florida, Martinique, Spain, Colorado, and Yugoslavia. Exhibiting galleries and venues include the Phthalo Gallery, Fort Zachary Taylor Historic State Park in Key West, MAC Fine Art, Kronos Gallery and many more. Jorge also has a sizable number of commissions to his credit. Such notable patrons as the Sergio Leyva family, the Fernandez-Rocha family, and the Museo de Escultura Aire Libre en Bunol in Valencia Spain possess works by this gifted artist.
Bronze, marble, fabricated metals, wood, terracotta, and glass have made Jorge Arango one of the top sculptors in the world today.
