HENRY ROYER
Henry Royer was born in Colorado Springs, CO and grew up in Duluth Minnesota in a home filled with art. Time outside fueled his inspiration for working with earth-borne materials.
He graduated from City College in NYC with a Philosophy degree, but always worked with his hands and sculpted. Making furniture and sculpting for more than 30 years, he fuses basic materials, steel, stone and wood into artistic showpieces for residential, and commercial settings.
I have been sculpting for 50 years and for the last 30 years I have been creating sculptural furniture that has been sold in showrooms across the country (New York, Boston, Washington D.C., Chicago, Dallas, San Francisco and Los Angeles). Recently I left the furniture business to my daughter, Avery who had been working with me for over 17 years. That has freed me up to concentrate on my sculpture full time. In the past I have sold sculptures through various venues and I am in private collections across the country. I work in stone, metal and wood. The size range from table top to large outdoor sculpture.
