PROJECT: HOBE SOUND
Weathering Storm, Oil on Panel, 60″ x 83″, Richard Currier
MORE BY RICHARD CURRIER
This recently renovated Spanish-style home on Hobe Sound required a high level of sophistication to compliment the architectural arched doorways, rib vaulted ceiling and stone fireplaces. As one stands in the center of the space all of the artwork is in view, creating the challenge of achieving harmony and balance between individual works of art.
The main living areas were elevated to new importance by utilizing a combination of the client’s existing art, alongside new pieces from MAC Art including an impressive original etching of master artist Joan Miró. The entry hall required the ideal piece to set the tone when entering the home and an impressively framed hand-signed etching by Spanish artist, Joan Miró, fit the style of the home impeccably.
The large living room space needed a truly out of the ordinary statement and Weathering Storm by Richard Currier is the dramatic, powerful piece that anchors the entire space.
The Captive, Etching, Aquatint, Carborundum, 29″ x 22.5″, Joan Miró
Oil paintings by Elena Bond were placed throughout the home to offer beautiful impressionistic narratives. Addressing multiple key spaces with striking artwork, reframing the clients existing art and commissioning an original Elena Bond elevated an already spectacular home.MAC works with the best framers in the business and reframing the client’s existing artwork gave new life to their existing collection, and also brought the entire collection together as a whole.
