“On the last Saturday of every month, a cluster of warehouses in the shadow of downtown Fort Lauderdale comes alive as the MASS District. You’ll find no fewer than 15 galleries and art spaces, including MAC Fine Art, Dekkagon and Jump the Shark, in this area bound between Federal Highway and the FEC railroad tracks south of Sunrise Boulevard. The coolest tenant on the block is nightclub-lighting company Light Up the Night, which during art walks (typically from 7 p.m. to midnight) unleashes a horde of dancing LED robots on the street that shoot jets of fog from laser blasters.”
